Scrappin' and Dinner in the South

So I went to teach at Scrappuccino this past Monday and it was this Amazing Fun Southern Store.  You are driving down this country road and all of a sudden there it is- about a half hour out of Nashville.  When you walk in it is this OLD building with ALL the charm you would expect from a southern store.  I taught both the Inner Circle and the Window-Pane classes.  Both went well even though we were missing the letters for my Window-Pane Class.

Nashville01

As you can see, I wore my typical black t-shirt and this was a good thing.  In the Inner Circle Class, I was helping with an album and tried to put some of the 3M glue on a page. I couldn’t get any glue out so I squeezed really hard and then BOOOM it EXPLODED.  All over me and the wall and just a little on the floor.  OOPS.  Good thing I had my nice old black t-shirt on.

The big news of my trip however, was the dinner we had in-between the two classes.   We walked next door and had the best southern cooked meal ever.  I had the ham with mashed potatoes and fresh cucumbers in vinegar (I had to have seconds on the cucumbers).

Nashville02

As for desert, WOW.  It was a fresh raspberry cobbler warm with vanilla Ice Cream.  The whole thing was less than $10, tip included.  If you are ever there, you must try it.

The sign said “Cat fish – Friday night”. What an idea – cat-fish and cropping on a wailing of a good time, Friday night.  I have to thank you both for the great time and even better food.

CKU Nashville 07

I had the best time this past weekend. I was in Nashville for CKU. Our album track totally rocked-

I also did another class that was awesome. At 11PM on Saturday night we did a secret class with the inner circle designed by Karen Burniston. (now that it is on my blog not sure how secret it will be).

I had just had a great dinner with most of the CKU teachers and margie from Making Memories.  With a BIG THANKS to Becky. It was a Fun DELICIOUS dinner where I was able to share my expertise in Cheese (at least about old Gouda).

After dinner everyone was a little tired and Ali said "Are you going to bed" and I was like "... ugh sort of ... goodnight".  Then i was off to my fun secret class.

For Friday night's crop, I made an album using the pirate princess line and I love it. It was really easy using Karen's original design. I am so excited because I came up with this designs by myself and then ... I SCRAPPED IT!

Learning to Blog

I am learning to blog and having too much fun. I just added links to Karen and Ali. I met them on trips where i was teaching. Karen, in Holland where i followed like a puppy dog for a couple of days and Ali where we were a bit LOUD. I have had too much fun with both of them all over the world. That and I love reading their blogs.

I am also working with Casey and she is being soooo patient with me helping do all the stuff that I want to do; adding pictures, links, new posts and hopefully music tomorrow. I am working on getting photos uploaded from my past travels over the past couple of weeks. I was in Los Angeles 2 weeks ago, Phoenix, Lake Powell, and then Nashville (and Memphis) this past week.

Rachelle Minett

Rachellenlance_2

I was just looking at Rusty Pickle's Blog and totally came across Rachelle Minett's photo. I was like - I totally recognize that face.  I went through my photos and I came across pictures from when I was in Brisbane, Australia.   We totally hung out for a while.   I was at A Creative Place.  I just think that it is totally cool.  Congratulations to Rachelle and all our new Chefs
